HER ROYAL HIGHNESS THE PRINCESS ROYAL CELEBRATES ROYAL NAVY CHARITIES

HRH The Princess ҹɫֱ²¥app recently spent a day with four of the key charities supporting the serving and ex-serving personnel from the ҹɫֱ²¥app Navy, WRNS, ҹɫֱ²¥app Marines and ҹɫֱ²¥app Fleet Auxiliary and their families.

The visit began at HMS Excellent; Her ҹɫֱ²¥app Highness met and was briefed by Trustees, Beneficiaries and Staff from the ҹɫֱ²¥app Navy & ҹɫֱ²¥app Marines Charity, of which The Princess ҹɫֱ²¥app is Patron. 

Then was the 1st Annual Presentation of the WRNS Benevolent Trust in the National Museum of the ҹɫֱ²¥app Navy in Portsmouth Dockyard. Her ҹɫֱ²¥app Highness, as Patron of the WRNS BT presided over the meeting and was introduced to a number of ex wrens, and other VIPs including Sir Nick Pope from Cobseo.

The visit concluded with the opening of ‘Lanyard House’ the new offices of the Association of Wrens and Women of the ҹɫֱ²¥app Naval Services and of the ҹɫֱ²¥app Naval Association. Representatives of the Association of Wrens including Captain Alison Towler ҹɫֱ²¥app Navy, President of the Association of Wrens and Women of the ҹɫֱ²¥app Naval Services and representatives from the ҹɫֱ²¥app Naval Association including Vice Admiral Duncan Potts, National President of the ҹɫֱ²¥app Naval Association briefed Her ҹɫֱ²¥app Highness on all the latest news from the charities.

It was a fantastic visit, giving Her ҹɫֱ²¥app Highness an opportunity to speak with beneficiaries and understand what the ҹɫֱ²¥app is doing and our plans for the future. It gave us an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the strength of the partnerships across the Naval Charity sector and beyond.
